Cucumbers (ノ^^)乂(^^ )ノ




Cucumbers can make the skin feel rejuvenated, they can also lessen the appearance of dark circles. Cucumbers are pack full with vitamin c that can soothe irritated skin ,and  reduce swelling. This cucumber slice mask is perfect when you get sun burn or have picture day for school.




Supplies:
  • Cucumbers
  • Knife
  • Bowl
Step 1:
Wash and cut cucumber into thin slices.







Step 2:
Place slices on your face or problem areas.
Leave slices on for 15-20 minutes.


Step 3:
Peel off slices, some cucumber juice should be left on your face. Since the juice has no sugar you can message in your skin.




Finished!
 Your face should feel cooling and firmer also with a healthy glow.

Bug Bites (T.T)

Bug bites are the worst! Not only are they itchy, they can make your skin look and feel bad. During the summer is when the bugs like to strike, so don't leave the house without being protected. Here are some quick and easy ways to sooth your bug bites.




Supplies:

  • Oatmeal 
  • Tea bag
  • Q-tips
  • Water




First I'll start with the oatmeal
Oatmeal is great to reduce redness and soothe irritated skin.




Step 1:
Open the oatmeal packet and pour in to a bowl.






Step 2:
Pour a little bit  of water, just enough to make the oatmeal into a paste.






 






 Step 3:
Squeeze out the water out, so you have paste from the oats. Rub on the bite and let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water.




The oatmeal should relief the itchiness of the bite and make skin feel soft.


Now for the tea bag
The tea leaves will counteract the allergen of the bite on the skin.
Step 1:
Take the tea bag out of the packet, and place into a bowl.




Step2:
Pour hot water into the bowl with the tea bag. Then let the tea brew in the hot water and let it sit till the get warm enough to apply upon skin.
 
Step 3:
Dip one end of a q-tip into the tea, and apply to bite. Let the tea dry onto your skin. Or squeeze most of the water from the tea bag, then place on the bite for ten minutes.


Your bite should feel itch-free!




Here are a few other remedies you can try at home as well.


  • lemon or lime juice can take the itch out of a mosquito bite.
  • Ice the bites the cold temperature numb the bite, it restricts the effect of the histamine by the mosquito in your skin. Icing a bite early will reduce or eliminate the itch of the bite
  • white vinegar ,water and soaking a wash cloth in the mixture. Then placing the wash cloth onto bite for 15 minutes, the vinegar and the heat from the wash cloth will relieve the itch.
  • Rubbing dried basil onto bite, till the basil turn into sand. This will keep the bite from swelling.
  • Aspirin pill into a paste and applying to the bite. This will get rid of any poison and alleviate itching.
Here is some remedies for bug repellent as well.

  • Pure Vanilla Extract, most bugs can't sand the smell of it.
  • Rub yourself down with rubbing alcohol.
  • White vinegar

Chocolate Mask *Yummy*

Don't you just hate it when lots of dark chocolate is left over from a bag of delicious mixed chocolates? Well waste no more because here is a quick and easy face mask you can do with your extra dark chocolates. Imagine no more wasted chocolate! Dark chocolate is rich with antioxidants that leave your skin with a healthy glow feeling totally moisturized. A daily dose of dark chocolate will not only improve your skin, but will help it fight harmful UV rays as well. I happen to love the taste of dark chocolate so it never gets wasted in my house! Unlike my other homemade remedies, this mask not only refreshes your skin, but tastes yummy also!


 
 Supplies:

  • Left over chocolate
  • Plastic bowl
  • Spoon
  • Microwave


Step 1:
 Break up chocolate into a plastic bowl. 






Step 2:
 
 Then Put the  bowl of broken up chocolate into the microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute, depending  on the consistency of the chocolate.We want to the mixture of the chocolate smooth and silky.





 Step 3:
  
 Once you have the chocolate melted to the right consistency, mix it together with a spoon.Set to the side for 1 to 2 minutes to let the chocolate mixture to cool down enough to place on to face.





Step 4: 

Now that the chocolate has cool down, apply a generous amount to face or problem areas. Leave on for ten to fifteen minutes,wash off with warm water.Then rinse face off with cold water to lock in the moisture from the chocolate mask.





Your face should feel firm refreshed and smell of yummy chocolate!
You can also do this mask with cocoa powder and plain yogurt as well.

Quick update and Nu-Pore Face Mask Review





So I am having a little trouble with my rose mask, I need to refine the petal flakes into powder. In the mean while here is a review on a 
cheap and wonderful beauty product.



 Nu-Pore Fresh Aloe & Cucumber Collagen Mask, I bought this product at my local dollar store. This thin cloth mask is so refreshing, you can feel is firming and moisturizing you face the instant you put it on. You leave this mask on for 15-20 minutes, and then massage the remaining collage essence over your face. On the package has instructions for the summer and winter.During the summer  you can put it in the refrigerator and have a cooling mask, in winter you can put it in a warm bowl of water and enjoy a warm soothing mask. In the future I will go into detail the difference between the two temperatures of mask.

Lemon-Aid(*^^*) Part 2

Here is another lemon entry with two different ways to brighten the skin and get rid of dead skin cells. The first by softening your feet, then next using lemon slice to exfoliate your face. Like I mentioned before, lemons helps increase the process of  ridding your body of dead skin cells.






Lemon foot bath

   Supplies:
  • 1 Cup of squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 Tbs of olive oil
  • Enough  water to fill your foot tub




Step 1:
Start by cutting  the lemon peel off and put the aside.
Then cut the lemon in half and squeeze into a bowl
measuring out to a cup.








 Step 2:
 Mix in two tablespoons of olive oil into the squeezed lemon juice.
Then take the mixture and
pour it into a tub of water.
















Step 3:
Next soak your feet for five minutes, then rinse with warm water and dry off feet.





Your feet should feel silky soft and refreshed. Do this once a week and your feet should look good all summer.

Lemon exfoliating slice
  Supplies:
  • Lemon
  • Bowl of sugar

Step 1:
Cut the lemon into two slices, then dip into the bowl of sugar.









Step 2:
Take the lemon slice; rub it on your face and lips.


Step 3:
Rinse your face with warm water, and scrub the sugar gently.
After all the sugar and water is all washed off rinse again with cold water to close your pores.

Lemon-Aid(*^^*)

Lemons can be a great beauty aid, they have many benefits for your body and  skin. This amazing fruit is so versatile as a beauty aid; it eliminate odors, whiten, brighten, and disinfect. Lemons are very acidic making them great as antiseptic, skin toners, and killing bacteria that causes smells.

You can use lemons to increase the your skin  ability to get rid of dead skin cells. They can also flush out the toxins in your body, and increase blood circulation. This fruit can lighten the appearance of freckles and age spots. Here a couple lemon of remedies that helps with your skin, teeth, and feet.

Lemon Slice Mask

  Supplies:

  • Lemon
  • Two bowls
  • Towel
Step 1:
   Boil water then set aside in a bowl until cooled.
While cooling the hot water, slice lemon thinly.
Then place lemon slices in cold water.

Step 2:
  Drape towel over your head and the boiled water;
 steam face for 10-20 minutes then pat dry.

Step 3:
  Lay back and place lemon slices onto face, keep on for 5-10 minutes.

Step 4:
  Rinse face with cold water then moisturize to lock in moisture.


Your face should feel refresh and look brighter.
