Bug bites are the worst! Not only are they itchy, they can make your skin look and feel bad. During the summer is when the bugs like to strike, so don't leave the house without being protected. Here are some quick and easy ways to sooth your bug bites.
Supplies:
- Oatmeal
- Tea bag
- Q-tips
- Water
First I'll start with the oatmeal
Oatmeal is great to reduce redness and soothe irritated skin.
Step 1:
Open the oatmeal packet and pour in to a bowl.
Step 2:
Pour a little bit of water, just enough to make the oatmeal into a paste.
Step 3:
Squeeze out the water out, so you have paste from the oats. Rub on the bite and let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water.
The oatmeal should relief the itchiness of the bite and make skin feel soft.
Now for the tea bag
The tea leaves will counteract the allergen of the bite on the skin.
Step 1:
Take the tea bag out of the packet, and place into a bowl.
Step2:
Pour hot water into the bowl with the tea bag. Then let the tea brew in the hot water and let it sit till the get warm enough to apply upon skin.
Step 3:
Dip one end of a q-tip into the tea, and apply to bite. Let the tea dry onto your skin. Or squeeze most of the water from the tea bag, then place on the bite for ten minutes.
Your bite should feel itch-free!
